Bring us your donations for the April Yard Sale & Fundraiser!
Well neighbors, it may not be official yet, but it sure seems like nature is in full-on Spring mode. When it’s not drippy out, be sure to enjoy the flowers – before the pollen blizzard hits. Here’re the latest Parkview updates:
Yard Sale & Fundraiser - April 20, 9am-12pm
We’re organizing a yard sale! Cleaning out your closet? Got a box you've been meaning to take to Goodwill? Bring us your donations, and we’ll turn them into funds to support the Parkview community.
We’re accepting good condition, gently used items (no large furniture, please) that we can sell. Give us those long-forgotten goodies at the back of your closet, gain space, and help out your community in one go!
Donation Drop-off:
April 17, 18, & 19 between 5-7pm
DeKalb Memorial Park Clubhouse (353 Wilkinson Dr SE)
Save the Date:
Yard Sale & Fundraiser - April 20, 9am-12pm
(share with your friends!)
Interested in selling your own items at the yard sale? Get a spot for $20 (table included) and join us for a fun Saturday! Contact [email protected] to reserve your spot.
Don’t forget to vote in the Primary!
Early voting is open now until this Friday (March 8) at Bessie Branham Recreation Center (hours here).
If you’re planning to vote on Election Day (next Tuesday, March 12), head down the street to The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church. It’s located at the intersection of S Howard St SE and Glenwood (walk around to the back of the building and then follow signage – likely to the gym entrance).
Looking for more information about upcoming elections? We highly recommend checking out Branch.vote, a free, nonpartisan website that walks you through your unique ballot. Did you know: Branch was started right here in Atlanta, just a few neighborhoods over from Parkview.
It’s official: there’s more Playground coming!
Thanks to the incredible efforts of Elizabeth H. (and Shannon R.), our grant for additional playground pieces has been approved. Installation may be a ways away, but we’re already looking forward to the completed playground ‘refresh’!
Support Neighborhood Businesses
We’ve added a new page to the Parkview website that lists neighbor’s businesses so you can easily find and support businesses run by your neighbors. Take a look and discover some of the amazing businesses that call Parkview home (one way or another).
Want to add your business to our list? Check out the application process!
