January has come and gone before I could sit down and write a newsletter, y’all. So here’s a roundup of Parkview updates for the year so far.

Planning, planning, planning.

We got great news from Shannon – we’ve reached our funding goal to install additional playground equipment to further complete the vision plan for DeKalb Memorial Park! 

Additionally, there was a lot of planning to talk – or rather talk about planning – for the year to come. And so, at our next meeting we’ll be talking about several different improvement initiatives and setting goals for the year.

Want to get involved? Come out to the next PCC Meeting (Monday, February 12th at 7pm) and let your voice be heard. Why not bring a neighbor along – the more the merrier. And be sure to introduce yourself to any new faces!

Did you know? Dues are due!

That’s right – with the rolling-over of the calendar to 2024, membership dues for the PCC are… well, due. Head over to the PCC website and check that off your to-do list right now!

You might wonder “why should I pay dues and join the PCC?” Good question! First and foremost, your membership dues go to support the Parkview community. They cover costs like Clubhouse upkeep, supporting the community gardens, improvements to DeKalb Memorial Park, and of course, putting on community events like the Fall Frolic. Additionally, you get to vote for the officers of the PCC, like the President, Secretary, Treasurer, and more. PCC Elections are coming up later this year!

Save the Date for Fall Frolic 2024

Our annual fundraiser for Friends of DeKalb Memorial Park will return on November 9, 2024! If you’re interested in helping organize this year’s event, be sure to reach out to the Events Committee on Slack.

February Meeting

The Parkview Civic Club meets every second Monday of the month and everyone is welcome (even if you’re not a member)! The next PCC meeting will take place Monday, February 12th at 7pm at The Clubhouse, 353 Wilkinson Dr SE Atlanta GA 30317. Can’t make it in-person? We’ll share a link to join virtually via the Parkview Slack.
